Flowserve is looking for a Performance Test Technician for our Test Facilty, who will be working on and supporting all aspects of performance testing of API and Non API standard pumps, a wide range of equipment in our extensive product portfolio. Your job includes designing of the test loop design and building the set-up including instrumentation and measurement. After your thorough preparation you will execute the test, collect all the acquired data and put these into reports. Your role
As the Performance Test Technician you will schedule and carry out Pump Performance Testing activities
You are able to make customized test setups and sketches in consultation with Engineering
You will design, construct, operate, and troubleshoot test loops with guidance form engineering on test loop set-up and rework after test.
Coordinate with internal stake holders in mobilizing equipment and coordinate with customers in offering the pumps for testing and clearances.
You will set-up the test loop with other mechanics, assist in pump assembly/dis-assembly prior and after tests.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and other issues as they arise throughout the test, investigate test stand failures, and implement corrective actions or make recommendations. This requires an analytical mindset.
Managing instrument calibration activities for testing, knowledge of SCADA is a big plus.
After a successful test you will review test results to determine validity of test data based on different levels of acceptance criteria and prepare test reports
Your profile
You hold a diploma in Technical College e.g. MBO or HBO and have proven hands on experience of at least 3 years in the pump maintenance and assembly activities.
Working knowledge of rotating equipment such as motors, pumps, bearings, and power transmission (belts, gears, pulleys, etc.).
You have experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to do a Root cause analysis and take corrective and preventive actions.
General understanding of heat transfer, vibrations, hydraulic calculations and how setup inputs affect test results
Good verbal and writing communication skills in Dutch and English and you feel comfortable in customer/third party contact.
You have experience with of MS Office and QA/QC Tools.
