Summary:
NIBC Corporate Banking Portfolio Management is seeking a motivated new team member in the early stages of their professional journey. Our team plays a key role in advancing NIBC’s strategic objective of implementing proactive portfolio management and transitioning towards a more data-driven decision-making model. We work in close collaboration with various Corporate Banking asset classes, including Digital Infrastructure and Commercial Real Estate.

This is what you'll do
As a member of the Portfolio Management team, you will contribute to enhancing portfolio optimization and steering, enabling Corporate Banking to focus on strategic growth and delivering greater value to our corporate clients. Your responsibilities will span portfolio analytics, monitoring, and the development of Smart Business solutions such as Power BI dashboards. You will also support the preparation of presentations for senior management and actively participate in NIBC workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and cross-departmental initiatives.
Your team
You'll work in the Central Portfolio Management team. This team consists of eight colleagues who work closely together, share laughs, and regularly participate in social activities. The team is located in our head office in The Hague. By working closely with the Corporate Banking Portfolio Management team members with different backgrounds and levels of experience, you will obtain a thorough understanding of financial markets, corporate banking, lending processes, core asset classes within NIBC, portfolio management and NIBC as a whole. Being part of the Central team in a relatively small bank will give you substantial responsibilities, direct exposure to senior management and enable you to rapidly understand how the whole bank works and where you can best leverage your talents. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Corporate Banking strategic goals, ensuring efficient portfolio steering, creating new business analytics tools and personally presenting outcomes to the top management of the Corporate Banking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions within the Portfolio Management team, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.
- Monitor portfolio performance, including reporting and continuous improvement of data quality.
- Conduct portfolio forecasting and perform targeted analytical assessments.
- Develop and maintain business analytics tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce).
- Present analytical findings and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departments such as Finance and Risk to ensure regulatory compliance, representing the Corporate Banking Portfolio Management team and providing necessary input.
- Participate in new and evolving initiatives across NIBC, contributing to the bank’s strategic development.
THINK YES if you…
- A Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Econometrics, Finance, or (Computer) Science. While preferred, this is not a strict requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is considered an advantage.
- A demonstrated interest in Corporate Banking, Business Analytics, and Business Intelligence.
- Strong analytical capabilities, complemented by effective communication skills.
- A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a strong desire for continuous learning and development.
- A detail-oriented approach and a results-driven attitude toward problem-solving.
- Fluency in English (our corporate language), proficiency in Dutch is considered an asset.
