The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available within the WB Products & Clients CoE, part of the Wholesale Banking FCP (WB FCP) organization in the Netherlands. This role merges the responsibilities of WB PSP Governance & Portfolio Management & Trigger Events for the FI Sector.
The WB Products & Clients CoE takes responsibility for compliance of Financial Institutional (FI) clients with external laws and internal policies relating to FEC, AML, and KYC. It provides a holistic view of the FI client portfolio, with a focus on Correspondent Banking (CB) and Payment Service Providers (PSPs). This role will ensure the management of portfolio controls, governance frameworks, and PSP governance across the WB organisation.
Your working environment
Your scope is both internal ING and the many stakeholders involved in the PSP initiatives throughout the organization, WB FI Front Office, related business, and support functions which need to be aligned, as well as external stakeholders, including regulators, clients.
You will be leading the PSP Governance and ensure alignment across the bank. You will be working closely with Global FI Sector teams, Global Transaction Monitoring team within Global FCFP and te WB COO Organisation.
You will collaborate with global hubs and key stakeholders to ensure both strategic alignment and operational execution. The role requires a balance of compliance, commercial awareness, stakeholder engagement, and strong analytical capabilities
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a PSP Governance & portfolio management Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Alignment throughout the bank on PSP Governance, by participating and leading initiatives for PSP’s
- Overseeing PSP Governance initiatives to align policy execution across regions and functions.
- Provide guidance and direction to WB staff on the completion of PSP related procedures
- Leading portfolio controls via transaction monitoring and risk-based frameworks.
- Acting as a key point of coordination between WB KYC, Global KYC, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Enhancing governance over CB and PSP client relationships and supporting the continuous development of policy frameworks.
- Driving improvement initiatives and implementation of global standards, especially related to CB/PSP Payments.
Your Profile
As the WB PSP Governance & Portfolio management Lead you need to have:
- Master's degree or relevant academic background with practical experience
- 8-12 years relevant experience working with Financial Institutions in the areas of Sales, Non-Financial Risk Management and/or Financial Crime Prevention
- Understanding of key regulations (5th AMLD, FATF, PSD, MiCAR etc.), translation to internal controls (including Transaction Screening/Monitoring solutions) and their respective effects on the operational landscape of FCP
- FI and PSP's Payments product knowledge and be a thought leader on risk- and governance management for this industry
- Proven track record of governance management within complex organisations, including maintenance and regulatory execution of policies, standards and procedures
- FCC Knowledge and experience regarding compliance risk assessments methodologies
- Fluent in English
