HET BEDRIJF:

Versa Designed Surfaces (opgericht in 1955) is uitgegroeid tot een van de wereldwijde marktleiders van commerciële project wandbekleding. Het hoofdkantoor is gevestigd in New Albany, Indiana (USA). Verder zijn er productiefaciliteiten en verkooporganisaties in Suzhou (China), Dubai (U.A.E.) en Soest (Nederland). Waarvandaan distributeurs wereldwijd geleverd worden.

Innovatie is een speerpunt van de onderneming. Zo worden er in 2025 vanuit Nederlands een PVC vrije wandbekleding en een Biobased-CO2 neutrale wandbekleding gelanceerd. Daarnaast zijn er verschillende andere R&D trajecten in gang om in de toekomst nieuwe en innovatieve producten aan het assortiment toe te voegen.

DE FUNCTIE:

Voor onze verkoop/productielocatie in Soest - Nederland (opgericht in 2021), zijn we op zoek naar een Hands on Productie Manager om deel uit te gaan maken van het dynamische team (4 FTE). Je zal een cruciale rol gaan spelen in zowel communicatie met klanten als productie support/planning om het groeiende team minder afhankelijk te maken van de support van het hoofdkantoor in de USA.

Deze functie is een mooie kans om in een klein team te werken, waarbij je een grote variëteit aan verantwoordelijkheden en taken hebt waardoor het werk nooit saai of eentonig zal zijn. Zo ben je de ene keer bezig met de import van een zending uit China, dan weer met een nieuw artikel aanmaken, aan het communiceren met een klant over een verzending of de operator aan het helpen met het opstarten of inspectie van een nieuwe productie. Hierdoor is de functie nooit eentoning en leer je veel aspecten van de business kennen.

BELANGRIJKSTE TAKEN EN VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN:

• Aansturen van de productie operators.
• Supply chain management.
• Productieschedule managen.
• Communicatie met klanten aangaande status van hun orders en verzenddetails.
• Invoeren van orders en update van de orderstatus.
• Boeken van transportzendingen.
• Administratie aangaande de verzendingen (bijhouden van (POD) proof of delivery administratie).
• Invoeren van productie orders en item ID’s creeren.
• Assisteren van de productie operator met start up van productie en productie gerelateerde taken.
• Overleg met de collega’s op het hoofdkantoor in New Albany – USA en de zusteronderneming in China en Dubai.
• Hands-on mentaliteit.

ERVARINGS/FUNCTIE VEREISTEN:

• Voldoende kennis van de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift om te kunnen communiceren met onze internationale teams in de USA, China en Dubai.
• Aandacht voor detail en organizationele vaardigheden.

THE ROLE:

Based in our Soest, Netherlands facility (established in 2021), we are looking for a hands on production manager to join our dynamic team (4 FTE). You will play a crucial role in supporting both customer service and production operations while helping our growing team to become more independent from our USA-based support.

This is a great opportunity to work within a small, close-knit team, where you’ll have a diverse set of responsibilities and will never find the work boring or repetitive. Where you’re managing import shipments, communicating with customers, or assisting with production tasks, your role will be varied and engaging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing the production operators
• Supply chain Management
• Production scheduling
• Communicate with customers regarding order status and shipment details.
• Entering customer orders and update order status.
• Coordinate booking and shipment of products.
• Administer Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation and track shipments
• Enter production orders and create item ID’s
• Assist the production operator with start-up, inspection and product related tasks.
• Collaborate with colleagues in USA, China and Dubai facilities.
• Demonstrate hands-on mentality in all aspects of the role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with our international teams in the USA, China and Dubai.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A pro-active and flexible approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
