About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
As a Program Manager on Google Cloud Logistics EMEA/APAC Operational Excellence team, you will play a key role in supporting regional Warehouse and Data Center operations by building and maintaining a logistics supplier base. You will lead Request for Proposals (RFPs), standardize vendor onboarding and offboarding processes, and develop a resilient, agile network of partners that meets our evolving operational and growth needs. Collaborating across regional and global teams, you will manage complex initiatives breaking them into clear, actionable goals and drive standardization that streamlines third-party logistics (3PL) tender processes.
Responsibilities
- Identify and periodically calibrate logistics service requirements in alignment with key stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Procurement and Contracting).
- Develop an agile and resilient supplier base for logistics services in alignment with business requirements.
- Drive vendor performance by fostering autonomous, reliable, and proactive partners, by providing operations with recommendations and a structure to manage vendor performance effectively and standardized.
- Document, maintain and drive adherence to the regional vendor strategy in close collaboration with operational leaders and site owners.
- Support and leverage best practices for vendor on/offboarding projects.
