Buongiorno! Do you get excited from fresh pasta, rich flavors and a cuisine full of experience? Then this is your chance. For our brand new Italian restaurant Izzy, at the upper floor at Eindhoven-Best, we are looking for an independent working chef who is ready to cook the stars from heaven.

Izzy is the new rooftop restaurant of Van der Valk hotel Eindhoven-Best, located on the 12th floor. With room for about 200 guests, a breathtaking view and a distinct Italian concept, we are going to create a place where people come together for really good food, a glass of wine, fine music and that typical Italian atmosphere of la dolce vita.
What will you do?
As an independent cook you will be the tastemaker of team Izzy. You will work in the kitchen, monitor quality and make sure every plate looks like it came straight from Tuscany.
- You make sure the mise-en-place is right, so you can work quickly and efficiently during service;
- You work meticulously and ensure that dishes are always beautifully presented, taste and appearance are top priority;
- You check ingredients for freshness and quality before using them;
- You work closely with fellow cooks and waiters to ensure a smooth service flow;
- You ensure that your workplace remains neat and clean, even during busy times;
- You identify shortages in stock and communicate this to the sous chef or head chef in a timely manner;
- You contribute to a positive atmosphere in the kitchen team; Working together is central to you.
- You will work in a brand new, open kitchen with state-of-the-art equipment - think Rolls Royce, but then culinary.
What do we ask of you?
- At least one year of experience as a cook in an à la carte setting;
- You are flexible, stress-resistant and love working in a vibrant environment;
- A love of Italian cuisine is a plus;
- You are available on weekends and evenings;
- You have knowledge of HACCP (a master's degree is a big plus);
- And above all, you have taste, energy and an eye for detail.
