The Role: Social Media Strategy Intern 📱
As a Social Media Strategy Intern, you will play a key role in shaping Ogilvy Amsterdam’s digital presence for national and international clients. You’ll work within the strategy and influence teams, gaining hands-on experience as you help plan, create, analyze, and optimize innovative social campaigns.
Key Responsibilities 🔑
- Support in developing and executing social media strategies for multiple brands
- Strategize and create engaging content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X
- Monitor trends, community interactions, and campaign performance
- Track and analyze key social metrics, presenting learnings and recommendations to the team
- Assist in campaign ideation, copywriting, and reporting
- Collaborate with creatives, strategists, and the PR team to ensure consistent brand messaging
- Research competitor and best-in-class social media activity
- Help with on-site content creation at client activations or events (when possible)
Who You Are 🫵
- Enrolled in a relevant study in the Netherlands (e.g., Communications, Media, Marketing, or similar, HBO/WO)(proof required)
- Allowed to do a working internship as part of your studies
- Available at least 4 days per week
- Available for at least 20 weeks, but welcome to stay longer!
- Passionate about social media, digital culture, and creative strategy
- Skilled in written and spoken English (Dutch is a plus but not required)
- Creative, organized, and pro-active; able to work independently and in a team
- Familiar with major social platforms and basic analytics tools
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Bonus: Some experience with content creation and or Social Media publishing and reporting tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, Sprinklr, Sprout, etc.)
