The Statutory Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing regulatory tax filings and compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions.
This role ensures timely and accurate submission of statutory reports and the preparation of data for tax filing, supports audit activities, and drives continuous improvement of financial reporting processes. The role collaborates closely with the broader Finance and Tax teams to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. The role needs to speak fluent Dutch & English.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit CBS (Statistics Netherlands) and DNB (Dutch National Bank) reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Gather, validate, and reconcile data for quarterly VAT returns across various jurisdictions.
- Perform Corporate Income Tax (CIT) calculations on a quarterly basis for Dutch companies.
- Compile and submit Intrastat reports across multiple countries.
- Coordinate and respond to audit requests; support year-end audits and quarterly financial reviews.
- Manage communications with tax authorities and handle inquiries in collaboration with the tax department.
- Support the implementation and optimization of tax modules and systems.
- Identify and drive improvements in existing tax reporting and compliance processes.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data in the accounting system.
- Post and document required tax and compliance-related adjustments in the accounting system.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Must-have requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in statutory reporting, tax compliance, or financial accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch tax and reporting regulations (e.g., VAT, CIT, CBS, DNB, Intrastat).
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent Excel and data validation skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a multinational organization or complex reporting environment.
- Familiarity with tax automation and reporting tools.
- Experience supporting tax audits and working with external advisors.
