Introduction to the job
In this role, you will be responsible for managing ASML's global Trade Data Management (TDM) Operations team which ensures compliance with global export control laws and customs regulations.
This function combines regulatory knowledge with great people and team leadership skills to secure and timely execute daily activities supporting the flow of goods and technologies across borders. You will work work closely with legal export control and customs representatives and with the TDM lead for projects and change, in close alignment with the TDM expertise team.
Role and responsibilities
You will be part of ASML's Business Services (ABS) Trade Data Management team divided into three sub teams: TDM Operations, TDM Projects and Change, and TDM Expertise Group.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for global export control and customs daily operations
- Ensure compliance with regulations and relevant international trade laws
- Oversee execution of classification (HTS/ECCN), export licensing, and country-of-origin determinations
- Serve as the primary point of contact with internal stakeholders on behalf of ABS with regards to TDM daily operations
- Coach, train, and evaluate team members; drive performance, accountability, and professional growth
- Partner with the TDM Project and Change team lead to plan handover to standing organization of project and change and to align on continuous improvement
- Continuously assess and enhance trade compliance controls, SOPs, and automation systems (e.g., SAP GTS, Oracle GTM)
Education and experience
- Master degree in legal, international business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field
- Experience in trade compliance and customs in the semiconductor or high-tech industry
- Proven strong team leadership and people management experience
- Knowledge of export control regulations and customs processes
- Experience with global trade management systems and tools
