We are looking for a business-oriented and self-motivated HR Business Partner to provide operational and strategic support to our business leaders in the Netherlands and Belgium within our Sales organisation. You will be part of VELUX Commercial HR a small, but dedicated team of 12 employees based in GB&I, Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Germany and Denmark. VELUX Commercial consists of appr. 1100 employees and is a relatively new division in the VELUX Group, why we are seeking a proactive candidate, who is not afraid to show initiative when facing opportunities.
Your challenges
This is a great opportunity to become part of the management team for Sales Benelux and work with them in partnership, enabling them to drive performance across the organisation. You will translate business strategies into people and organizational initiatives and work closely with key stakeholders. You will provide advice, support and guidance on HR matters and always ensure fairness and legal compliance.
Your primary tasks include:
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing relevant coaching and sparring to managers
- End-to-end recruitment of new employees in cooperation with managers
- Support managers with annual HR processes like Performance Management, Global Employee Survey, People Review etc.
- Drive succession and workforce planning
- Develop and execute team development activities to enhance trust and build high performing teams
- Provide expert advice e.g. compensation & benefit, employee relations, learning & development
- Change/ culture management - Work with managers to take the lead on culture and organization changes
- HR Analytics - Interpret data to identify trends and to inform strategic decisions
- Participate in HR projects like EU Pay transparency directive, Psychological Safety, DE&I.
You will be based in our office in Opmeer, Netherlands with the opportunity for hybrid work. Limited travel to the VELUX Commercial office in Wavre, Belgium.
You will refer to Senior Director VELUX Commercial HR, Charlotte Rømeling based in DK.
Your qualifications
You need to be hands-on and versatile – covering both strategic and operational HR topics. We expect you to have experience within HR in a global company and experience working with different nationalities. You understand how HR adds value to the business and are eager to contribute to the people and organisation agenda for Sales Benelux.
We expect that you have:
- 3-5 years of experience as HR Business Partner preferably in an international company/role working with different cultures
- Minimum bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of Dutch and Belgian labour law
- Experience with a wide range of HR activities: Recruitment, organizational development, coaching of managers, leadership training, employee relations (case management), compensation & benefit
- Master Dutch and English – and preferably French (not necessarily fluent)
- Ability to build trust and network within the management teams you are supporting
- Capability to take the lead and be proactive – as well as pragmatic by nature
