Operations Funding Specialist (100%)
Based in Amsterdam

We’re seeking an Operations Funding Specialist to coordinate project funding for the Operational Center Amsterdam. This role is ideal for someone with experience in donor management functions with a keen understanding of operations.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with the Finance, Operations and Fundraising team, focusing on coordinating MSF Partner Sections and Institutional Funding. You will be closely working with the Restricted Funding Liaison who is focusing on Major Donors, Foundations, and Corporate Partners.
Your Responsibilities
Coordinates funding from MSF-NL, MSF Partner Sections and Institutional Donors.
Coordinates contracting proposals and reporting on allocation of Partner Section (PS) funding according to PS priorities and absorption capacity.
Acts as the primary point of contact for financial and operational information, coordinating with Operational desks for donor validation, and performing donor due diligence procedures.
Liaises with Operations on possible funding opportunities and the related donor requirements, and facilitates communication between fundraising sections and the Operations Dept.
Liaises with Fundraising and other relevant stakeholders across MSF fundraising offices.
Handles multi millions of Euros of Partner section funding and Institutional Funding requiring timely, accurate recording, reporting communication and liaison with other MSF Partner Sections in key areas such as donor income budgeting and accounting, donor agreements, proposals, reports and audits.
Represents OCA in the International Office fund raising discussions, using insights to impact donor validation and proposal decisions, and provide operational and financial information for emergencies and specific projects to the International Office Fundraising and International Office Finance.
Coordinates contracts, proposals and reports of Institutional Funding grants, makes sure donor proposal and report templates are updated, and ensures timely processing of proposals and reports.
Assist in the writing of donor proposals and reports, and developing donor policies and procedures, while maintaining an overview of major donors and tracking deadlines.
About You
We are looking for a strong communicator, with higher education in finance or economics and experience working in finance.
2+ years of experience in donor management/project funding, INGO field experience, MSF is an asset.
Understanding of operations perspective and managing stakeholder relationship.
Good written and verbal communication skills and fluency in English.

What we Offer
A Dutch employment contract, based on 40 hours per week. It is a one-year contract with a renewal option.
A gross monthly salary within a salary range between 4,269 and 5,877 euros. Your exact salary will depend on relevant work experience.
