Account Executive – New Business | Benelux & Nordics

At Qualys, we’re looking for a New Business Account Executive who thrives on building relationships from the ground up. Someone who enjoys the hunt for new customers, combines strong sales instincts with the ability to engage in meaningful conversations around risk, security posture, and operational impact—and who understands that trust and long-term value matter more than quick wins.
You’ll be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers across the Benelux and Nordics. You don’t just respond to leads—you go out and find the right ones. You know how to build pipeline from scratch, work closely with partners, create your own momentum through events or campaigns, and keep things moving without waiting for others to tell you what to do. This role is not just about managing a pipeline—it’s about creating one and taking full ownership of business development in your territory.
We’re not looking for a lone wolf, but a proactive self-starter who understands that success comes from combining drive with a genuine interest in the customer’s world—what they’re trying to solve, how they work, and what makes a good fit technically and commercially.
You should be confident in conversations with CISOs and senior security leaders about how they quantify and manage risk across hybrid environments. At the same time, you’re comfortable reaching across to other C-level, IT ops, risk teams, compliance functions, and procurement—each playing a role in shaping a company’s overall risk posture.
Qualys’ platform is broad, but a core focus will be on our Risk and ROC (Risk-based prioritization and Operational Context) capabilities—helping customers understand their risk posture and take action on what truly matters. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should understand the security space well enough to lead informed, credible discussions beyond the basics and clearly explain how Qualys can support the customer’s goals. We operate in a complex space, and customers expect more than just slick sales talk.
What you’ll do:
- Prospect, engage, and close new business across the Benelux and Nordics
- Build and grow relationships with prospects, customers, and partners
- Initiate and manage C-level conversations around risk management, security priorities, and business impact
- Identify key stakeholders beyond security—such as compliance, IT ops, or enterprise risk—and build strong connections
- Understand customer pain points and translate them into a tailored plan to position Qualys solutions
- Own the full sales cycle and collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Marketing, Channel teams, and regional leadership
- Proactively develop pipeline through self-initiated actions (events, campaigns, referrals)
- Represent Qualys at key industry and partner events
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting and forecasting
- Stay current on trends in risk quantification, security posture management, and the evolving cybersecurity landscape
Who you are:
- A natural hunter with a strong track record of new business success—ideally 5+ years in the Benelux & Nordics region
- Proven sales experience in cybersecurity, with a solid grasp of vulnerability management, compliance, cloud security, or ideally risk-based security approaches
- Strong communicator—able to shift between strategic C-level conversations and more operational discussions with technical or compliance stakeholders
- Self-motivated, structured, and creative in how you open doors and close business
- Entrepreneurial mindset: curious, self-driven, and energized by building business from the ground up
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar frameworks is a plus
- Well-organized and proactive, with a hands-on approach to opportunity development
- Comfortable with travel across the region as needed
