Do you want to work in a young, global and fast-growing team within Avania to support Clinical Trials in the MedTech industry?
The Global Data Analytics team consists of 25 Data Analysts closely working with our clients as well collaboratively across multiple internal functions
The role of Manager, Data Analytics will involve the management of a Netherlands based team with a focus on people and process, making sure our teams are engaged, have development opportunities, supporting with training and career progression.
The Manager, Data Analytics role will lead our data analytics activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance for our studies. Key elements of this manager role include the delegation of tasks to staff members while contributing to:
- Maintaining department compliance to SOPs, ISO 14155, ISO13485, ISO27001 and ISO9001 standards and key management metrics
- Communicating with internal team members to promote quality service and timely deliverables
- Serving as an escalation point for clients supported by data analytics staff
- Serving the role of program and/or project manager for the portfolio of clients in data analytics
- Maintaining awareness of, and communicating to staff, current developments in the field of data analytics
- Identifying current industry trends and software solutions for operational efficiency and bring these solutions forward to the team
- Supporting the team hiring process, including defining the specific criteria required and identifying potential resource issues
- Line Management of your direct reports in the data analytics team. Advancing career development, training of staff and providing performance appraisals
- Ensuring proper allocation of data analyst resources
- Conducting staff meetings, addressing departmental issues, foster an environment for two-way communication, set departmental goals
- Reviewing and revising SOPs, forms, templates, and work instructions
- Preparation for, participation in, and follow-up of audits and inspections.
- Interface with QA on planning of internal audit, study audit and timelines for follow-up on audit reports
- Approving time sheets and various expense reports
- Participate in budget and proposal development activities

We seek -
- Relevant advanced degree in data science, data analytics or related field
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership with work experience in clinical research, in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or device industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the job
- Basic skills and literacy with DA functional requirements
- GCP-ICH-E6, FDA regulations and ISO 14155,13485, 27001 with demonstrated leadership competencies such as team building and fostering a culture to promote a high-performance organization
- Knowledge of regulatory regulations and guidelines on medical devices
- Project management skills such as the ability to coordinate assignments, complete assignments within established timelines
- Knowledge of regulatory regulations and guidelines on medical devices
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
