Job Description
Your core responsibilities include:

Improving Quality Through Testing
-
Define and implement robust test strategies (including third-party cooperation).

Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce production incidents and improve delivery predictability.

Collaborate with both vendor test managers and internal stakeholders to set up effective testing processes.

Implement and support regression testing frameworks across releases (both internal and supplier-delivered).

Steer quality initiatives and elevate testing standards across the Payments organization.

Ensuring Delivery Excellence

Own testing and acceptance processes for project requirements.

Collaborate closely with Business and external suppliers.

Identify risks and manage issues proactively.
-
Report bugs and monitor resolutions during E2E testing.

Deliver structured and timely reporting to all stakeholder levels.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Bridge communication and coordination across Tribes, departments, and organizational levels.

Support functional and non-functional testing in a complex, end-to-end context.

Guide and challenge IT engineers throughout the test lifecycle.
- Maintain a clear view of the IT landscape and collaborate with both technical and business teams.
Requirements
We are looking for a proactive, energetic professional who takes ownership and enjoys collaborating across teams to achieve high-quality outcomes. You should be confident, detail-oriented, and capable of making impactful decisions.
Must-Have Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Manager in complex IT environments, ideally in banking or financial services.
Proven ability to define and execute test strategies and manage test planning, reporting, and issue resolution.
Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
Skilled in stakeholder management, from IT engineers to senior leadership.
Knowledge of test tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and test reporting platforms.
Strong communication and presentation skills tailored to different levels of the organization.
Deep understanding of IT concepts, including end-to-end testing, functional/non-functional testing, and test automation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of ING's internal systems, workflows, and application landscape.
Prior experience in Payments/Card systems is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with international, multi-vendor setups.

Benefits
- 12 months contract with the possibility of extension, aiming for internal employment at ING after 18 months.
- A 36 or 40 hour workweek with flexible hours and a hybrid working model (office and home-based).
- Salary range: €5.060 - €7.685 gross per month (based on 36 hours per week, based on experience).
- Additional benefits: holiday allowance, 13th month and pension contributions .
