Introduction
As our new full-time Marketing projects officer in the Corporate Marketing and Communications department (CMC) of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), you use your dedication to branding and marketing, as well as your project management experience and creativity skills.
Your main task is to implement and help your Brand Team members and the other RSM colleagues in their marketing and branding projects. At RSM, we aspire to continue to be a leading business school in Europe while also being a force for positive change in the world. You use your experience, skills and motivation as a self-starter to help RSM maintain its standing and help execute our communication strategy to build up the school’s brand image, reputation and visibility.
As part of the RSM Brand Team, your teammates include a brand manager and team lead, a digital marketing and social media officer, and a student assistant. You help to safeguard and further develop the RSM brand by building awareness and engagement among key stakeholders and the general public. You work regularly with colleagues from various departments to merge the appropriate branding and copy for the website, events and marketing communications collateral. Together, we do this by incorporating the best practices of corporate branding, thereby creating marketing policies, developing and creating social media and content marketing strategies, creating digital and physical brand assets, and assisting other departments at RSM to achieve their marketing goals.

Responsibilities
Develop and monitor project plans by clearly defining roles and responsibilities, and by ensuring timely follow-up with stakeholders both internally and externally.
Create marketing materials through coordination between internal and external clients and third parties, such as copywriters, agencies, studios, designers and printers.
Ensure that RSM has sufficient, well-organised corporate materials which are aligned with our brand positioning; for example, by creating and updating corporate presentations and flyers.
Design various brand assets, such as banners, flyers and brochures.
Ensure that our house style is maintained in all our marketing collateral and channels.
Maintain and develop RSM’s brand guidelines website and digital asset management system.
Consult and assist internal stakeholders in producing their marketing materials.
Support the brand team and CMC in various marketing and communications projects.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve marketing processes, tools and workflows.
Job requirements
You are eligible for this position if you have:
- an educational level of at least BA/BSc level
- minimum 2 years of experience in an (operational) marketing position
- excellent professional project management skills
- experience with visual editing software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
- excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
- strong detail orientation and organisational sensitivity
- the ability to adapt and learn quickly
- ability to take initiative and work independently
- ability to work effectively under stress and strict deadlines with multiple projects running simultaneously and consistently meeting deadlines while meeting high-quality standards
- strong interpersonal skills to interact with different offices and other stakeholders connected to RSM and the Erasmus University, and take actions when needed.
The ideal candidate is also:
- service-oriented, friendly team player, with a hands-on and proactive attitude
- experienced in editing videos
- proficient in Dutch, read, write, speak.

We offer you an internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with excellent working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU).
The start date of this position is 01-SEP-2025 and you will be based at [class.26087] in Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). This position is for 1 fte - 1 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 3.537 to a maximum of € 4.860 gross per month Scale 9 on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU. The contract is offered for a period of 1 year and can be converted into an employment contract for an indefinite period if suitability is proven and if continued in the same position, if (financial and/or organizational) circumstances remain the same.
