Job Description
Our client has a new vacancy for a Senior Project Manager, ideally located in Luxembourg, Amsterdam or Germany (Frankfurt region), to own and control delivery of a large audio visual project with a specific focus on a technically complex design. You will be responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction throughout the projects entire lifecycle, from Initiation & Design, through to its closing phases. As project management master, you will have significant experience of large complex projects, in a construction and engineering environment with the ability to control all project baselines in a formal, documented manner. The ability to initiate effective control across all project dynamics is critical to success, due to the projects split geographic nature.
Role Responsibilities
- Project initiation & planning in line with a known project management framework, (PMP, PRINCE) creating management products which define the projects baselines to control throughout the lifecycle.
- PID, WBS, PBS, (and associated product descriptions), schedule, RAID
- PID, WBS, PBS, (and associated product descriptions), schedule, RAID
- Delivery of project in line with the constraints of schedule, budget and requirements
- Ability to structure schedule/plans in a manner that addresses the need of multiple teams with differing focus
- Participation in early prototyping activity in order to capture results and inform the initial design baseline(s).
- Requitements gathering and analysis for solution control throughout the project, alongside early formal agreement of acceptance criteria by the sign off authority
- Highlight reporting on a monthly basis to ensure all stakeholders, (internal & external), are fully informed on the status of the project.
- Financial control and reporting on a regular basis, (Cost reporting, Forecasting & ECAC)
- Deploys a RAID based approach to project control, with regular reviews and updates throughout the project life cycle, to deliver a proactive approach to risk/issue management, governance and direction
Essential Skills and Experience
- Significant experience delivering large-scale, complex AV projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, technologies, and integration practices.
- Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction on complex projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in recognised project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Skilled in financial control and reporting, including forecasting and cost management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience reporting to senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent risk and issue management skills, with a proactive and structured approach (RAID)
Desirable Skills and Experience
- A recognized Project Management Qualification (PMI, Prince 2 Practitioner, etc.).
- AVIXA CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certification (Desirable but not essential).
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification applicable to the EU.
- Fluency in an additional European language (e.g., German, Dutch, French).
