Are you the kind of person who doesn’t just talk about sustainability—but actually gets it done?
We’re looking for a Carbon Footprint Manager, Sustainability Consultant, Environmental Impact Strategist (or whatever title you’d like to give this role!), who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, lead client engagements, and turn sustainability goals into measurable, verified outcomes.
At DGB Group, you won’t be creating slides—you’ll be executing real carbon footprint projects, preparing clients for regulatory frameworks like CSRD and BCorp, and serving as the go-to person from first contact to final delivery.
This isn’t a support role. You’re the lead.
Who We Are
DGB Group (AEX:DGB) is one of Europe’s leading developers of nature-based environmental projects. We restore ecosystems, develop large-scale reforestation programs, and generate certified carbon and plastic credits.
We don’t just promise impact—we prove it, with verified data and certified reporting. Last year, we delivered over 50 carbon footprint assessments for clients. This year, we’re on track to double that to 100, and you will be at the center of making that happen.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will lead carbon footprint projects end-to-end. From onboarding new clients to conducting Scope 1–3 assessments, to delivering actionable reports—you’re the one they trust.
You’ll work independently on most projects, but you’ll also be part of a skilled team with serious firepower. One of your closest colleagues brings over 10 years of experience in carbon footprinting and lifecycle analysis. They’ll handle quality control and strategic oversight—but you own the delivery. This is your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Carbon Footprint Execution
- Lead carbon footprint assessments (Scope 1, 2, 3) for a growing range of clients—from SMEs to larger organizations.
- Deliver clear, actionable insights that help clients reduce emissions and meet internal and external requirements.
Client Engagement & Project Management
- Be the primary point of contact for clients—from the first meeting to the final report.
- Schedule and lead calls, gather data, answer questions, and keep everything moving on time and on track.
Beyond Footprints: Lifecycle & Sustainability Analysis
- Support lifecycle assessments and broader sustainability consulting when needed.
- Contribute to improving our methods, templates, and overall efficiency as the program scales.
Compliance & Certification
- Support clients in aligning with CSRD, BCorp, and other emerging standards.
- Ensure that every footprint we deliver is audit-ready and defensible.
Internal Integration & Leadership
- Work closely with our technical lead to continually improve quality and consistency.
- Take initiative to suggest improvements, raise issues early, and stay ahead of client needs.
Requirements
You’re someone who knows the territory, but still wants to grow. You’ve done footprinting work before, but you’re ready to take full ownership—while still having an experienced mentor to guide you where needed.
Experience & Background
- Experience with carbon footprint assessments (Scope 1–3), ideally across multiple clients or projects.
- Background in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and project management skills—you’re comfortable owning client relationships.
Skills & Mindset
- You think and act like a consultant: structured, solutions-focused, and outcome-driven.
- You're comfortable with data, deadlines, and clients—and you don’t need to be micromanaged.
- You’re hungry to grow, and you value learning from people who’ve been in the field for a decade or more.
