As a Project Business Development Manager within Maersk Project Logistics (MPL), you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth initiatives. You will be at the forefront of identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, fostering innovation, and contributing to the success of our organization.

The Job

As Renewables (Wind) Project Business Development Manager, you will be a key contributor to Maersk Project Logistics (MPL)’s growth journey. You’ll be part of a renewables growth enablement team with three close colleagues and a wider regional growth team spanning four verticals, all dedicated to MPL’s ambitious expansion goals.

Key Responsibilities

As Renewables Project Business Development Manager you will:

  • Develop opportunities for MPL brought forward by commercial teams
  • Coordinate with the solution pricing team to provide pricing for identified opportunities
  • Actively lead the RFI, RFQ, and RFP process for MPL as co-sponsor with sales
  • Ensure submitted RFQ & RFP proposals are comprehensive, competitive, and aligned with global product guidelines
  • Support new business pursuits via sales/internal stakeholders to deliver timely and sound business proposals
  • Jointly approach new leads with relevant sales colleagues, transferring opportunity ownership to sales in line with accountability structure

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Project Freight Forwarding experience (mandatory)
  • Experience in the wind industry is a plus, not a requirement
  • Strong commercial acumen and operational mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels, both internal and external
  • Strong negotiation and business development skills
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage effectively
  • Flexibility to travel for exhibitions and customer meetings
  • Fluency in English and German – both written and spoken (must-have)
  • Willingness to travel to Hamburg to co-locate with the sales team when needed
