Overview
The objective of this position is to follow-up on on-time pickup of goods at 15 cross border plants, monitor in-transit and on-time delivery to PepsiCo warehouses as well as execute logistics for raw materials to NL plants.
By doing so, the role will ensure excellent availability of raw materials and finished goods, resulting in best in class in full delivery to our customers. This also includes all the customs responsibilities for non EU countries.
Next to this, the role will handle all incoming invoices for cross border freight and manage the empty pallet flow towards our plants and warehouses.
Responsibilities
- Flawless execution of incoming shipments, in collaboration with PepsiCo inventory planning team, plants and external suppliers (transporters/3PL)
- Actively engaged in productivity projects (>25K) in relation with carriers and Warehouse in The Netherlands
- Identifies gaps in the current execution of the signed contract and creates transparency by improving current working procedures.
- Responsible for AOP preparation exercices for own scope together with Sr. Logistics Coordinator
- Responsible for gathering data / info regarding budget creation / AOP
- Provides transport volume and costing data to support of P & L calculations
- Creating purchase orders in SAP
- Follow up of invoices, 3 way match and identify and rectify errors Invoices journal entry in SAP
- Streamline invoicing process with carriers
- Creating monthly accrual x-border freight & Nordics warehousing
- Follow up the administrative process of manual invoices
- Assuring flawless execution of transport (pick-up and in transit) from foreign plants (finished goods)
- Monitoring of in transit stocks & planned arrivals to support Short Term Inventory Lead in ATP process
- Supply of accurate shipment arrival planning to support Inventory Planning & Customer Collaboration team in achieving best possible stock availability & customer service levels
- Monitoring of carrier performance and escalation to/with Sr. Logistics Coordinator
- Execution of raw material logistics within Netherlands (from suppliers & warehouses to plants)
- Responsible for empty pallet flow towards BLX plants and NL warehouses, including management of suppliers, escalations and invoice management
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in supply chain role, preferably in a fast-moving environment
- Proven strong thinking/ problem solving skills - able to identify and remove obstacles to progress
- Good understanding & experience in working with SAP preferred
- Strong eye for detail and are able to see connections in data, events and trends
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office modules (especially Excel)
- Ability to keep overview of complex flows and identify current & future risks
- Analytical skills- can analyse figures, make connections and draw conclusions
- Is a problem-solver – root cause analysis to drive forward thinking and problem solving by 5WHY
- Strong financial skills, excellent with data & numbers
- Fluency in Dutch & English
- Shows responsibility for their own actions and sense of order and cleanliness in their own workspace
- Ability to manage several (10-15) different vendors and plants (10-15) and ability to set priorities
- Able to transform data and information into meaningful insights.
- Expression & communcation skills: able to communicate within various levels of the organization (Staff in plants, account managers at major carriers, CS&L collegeaus)
- Testifies strong personal insights and is able to think logically to bring alleged tasks to a successful conclusion
- Knowledge of retail (multi-channel) supply chains is an advantage.
