Job’s Mission
The EMEA Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the logistics operations within the EMEA region. This role focuses on coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, according to GDP industry standards and environment of Santen’s products. Directing intercompany movements and managing intra-EMEA third-party logistics (LSPs). The primary objective is to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions, for both inbound shipments from Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs); as well as the distribution of Santen products towards customers, wholesalers, distributors, hospitals and patients.
What You Will Do
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth, timely, and compliant flow of goods across the EMEA region.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing inbound and outbound logistics, optimizing shipments, and supervising transportation providers.
- Coordinating intercompany movements across EMEA and globally, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
- Overseeing third-party logistics partners (LSPs) and monitoring performance against service level agreements.
- Handling inbound deliveries from CMOs, ensuring proper documentation and resolving shipment issues.
- Driving process improvements through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensuring compliance and reporting, including timely communication on non-compliance or temperature deviations.
- Managing unexpected delays and geopolitical disruptions by executing contingency plans and adjusting schedules.
- Providing excellent customer service, offering proactive updates and solutions.
- Monitoring and mitigating logistics risks, including external disruptions.
- Utilizing technology to track shipments, analyze performance, and predict potential delays.
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics coordination within the EMEA region, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, 3PL management, and intercompany movements
- Proficient in ERP, warehousing systems, and logistics tools
- Solid knowledge of EMEA import/export regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- Professional English (spoken and written); additional European languages are a plus
- APICS certification is an advantage
