We are currently looking for a PR Manager (Travel & Tourism) to join our team in Rotterdam (hybrid work model). As PR Manager, you’ll serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, overseeing the seamless execution of campaigns and ensuring all PR activities align with and exceed their goals. You’ll play a pivotal role in telling powerful travel stories, building relationships, and creating measurable impact for our clients.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
As a PR Manager (Travel & Tourism) at MMGY Global, you’ll be hands-on in delivering exceptional public relations work for our travel clients. Working from our Rotterdam office (with a flexible hybrid schedule), you’ll handle the day-to-day execution of PR activities—reporting to the PR Senior Account Director and ensuring that all work aligns with the client’s goals and brand image.
Your focus will be on nurturing strong client relationships, proactively managing media outreach, and executing campaigns that tell compelling stories. Whether it’s writing effective press releases, organising a press trip, or following up with journalists, you’ll be fully engaged in the practical delivery of results that matter.
You will work closely with media contacts and help manage budgets to make sure projects stay on track. The role also includes maintaining supplier relationships, securing broadcast opportunities, and looking for ways to grow existing accounts through value-adding services like event support or media training.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the daily operations of client accounts, ensuring all deliverables are executed to the highest standards.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships, including regular check-ins and on-site visits.
- Support the development of creative campaigns and promotions that help clients stand out in the travel and lifestyle space.
- Actively manage and expand a network of media contacts, regularly meeting with journalists and maintaining a media database.
- Draft creative and engaging press materials, press releases, articles, and media profiles, that position the client positively.
- Keep a close eye on consumer and trade media for coverage opportunities and brand mentions.
- Attend relevant events to represent the client, including press trips, media events, and trade shows.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure work remains within agreed financial limits and delivers value.
- Work with third-party suppliers when needed, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
- Identify relevant market trends through ongoing research and analysis, providing insights that support the client’s image.
- Pursue additional opportunities within existing accounts to expand our service offering.
What You’ll Bring
You have at least three years of hands-on PR experience, ideally in the travel or lifestyle sector, and you’re ready to jump into a fast-paced environment. You're an enthusiastic communicator with a keen eye for opportunities, a “can-do” mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. You love writing, storytelling, building media relationships, and making things happen.
Other must-haves include:
- Strong Dutch and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- A solid understanding of media relations and content creation.
- Confidence managing budgets and working with external suppliers.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to thrive under deadlines.
- Experience with tools like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
