For Villa Coucou, our French fine dining restaurant, we're looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef.
Your knowledge and experience help the team maintain and improve the high level of service offered to our guests. Our team, led by Matteo Atzeni, guarantees a high-quality, personalized culinary experience that will make our guests loyal friends of the Villa. Thanks to our passion, knowledge and experience, our goal is to obtain a Michelin star.
Our team is international. In addition to Dutch and French, English is our official language.
Right hand of the Head Chef. you ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and maintain consistent quality of dishes. Acting as a link between the Head Chef and the kitchen team, you coordinate, supervise, and actively participate in food preparation.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu development and creation of new recipes.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff (line cooks, commis, apprentices).
- Ensure compliance with recipes, hygiene standards (HACCP), and food safety regulations.
- Organize and delegate tasks to guarantee efficient service.
- Monitor product quality, cooking standards, and plate presentation.
- Actively take part in food preparation (starters, main courses, desserts depending on the establishment).
- Manage supplies: receive deliveries, check stock, and minimize waste.
- Replace the Head Chef during their absence and ensure continuity of service.

- Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
Profile
- Proven experience in professional kitchens, ideally several years as a line cook or senior cook.
- Passion for fresh produce and innovative cuisine.
